How long does the Amaircare Model 2500 last?
The saturation of the media may occur faster in different areas depending upon the condition of the air. Generally, it is recommended that the various filters be simply replaced when there is a noticeable decrease in odor elimination. Replaceable filters include:
- Amaircare 2500 Standard Annual Kit (three Stage 1 carbon blanket prefilters and two Stage 3 carbon blanket filters), OR...
- Amaircare 2500 Plus Annual Kit (three Stage 1 carbon blanket prefilters and one VOC Canister)
- Amaircare 2500 Replacement HEPA Filter (8" molded cartridge)
Which filters should I replace and when?
Filter life generally depends on usage level. However, it is recommended that you replace each filter as follows, if not earlier:
- Stage 1 carbon blanket prefilter: every 4 months
- Stage 2 HEPA filter: every 2 years
- Stage 3 carbon blanket filter: every 6 months, OR...
- Stage 3 optional VOC Canister: every year
